The plaintiff shall file a supplemental memorandum addressing the propriety of joinder on or before November 5, 2026. "The court may for good cause shown enter an order directing that one or more documents be filed under seal." L.R. 26.2(b). "[A] district court must be sensitive to the rights of the public in determining whether any particular document, or class of documents, is appropriately filed under seal." United States v. Corbitt, 879 F.2d 224, 228 (7th Cir. 1989). Here, the plaintiff contends that the defendants will take steps to conceal, destroy and alter records, move assets, and create new stores. The plaintiff cites no evidence to support this contention. And the Court notes that this contention is in tension with several allegations in the complaint, which indicate that the plaintiff is not certain who the defendants are in part because the defendants allegedly take steps to conceal their identities. If the plaintiff does not know who the defendants are, what good faith basis does the plaintiff have to argue what the defendants will do? The plaintiff has not shown that a seal is warranted. The Clerk shall unseal Dkt. No. 5. Mailed notice.
